WA Covid-19 Update: Perth and Peel Restrictions

Effective 12 noon today restrictions have been introduced for Perth and Peel regions for a minimum of three days.

Of note for WA disability service providers:

  • Masks are mandatory indoors, on public transport and outdoor public areas where physical distancing is not possible.
  • Events that cannot be restricted to 150 people to be cancelled.
  • 150 patron and 2sqm rule for some businesses and venues.
  • Visits to hospitals and disability care facilities limited to 4 personal visitors per person per day.
  • Interstate travel should be minimised out of Perth.
  • Travel to remote Aboriginal communities remains restricted.

The lockdown follows a community case of COVID-19 detected in WA, relating to travel to NSW. Exposure sites can be viewed here.
