Nominations are now open for the 2017 Victorian Disability Awards, delivered in partnership with the Department of Health and Human Service and NDS.

The Victorian Disability Awards recognise people who make an outstanding contribution to the empowerment and inclusion of people with a disability.

We want to recognise those that lead the way in creating a fairer, more inclusive community.

You can help acknowledge the people who are making a real difference in the lives of people with a disability by nominating a person, team or organisation. 

Consider the simple, creative things that can make a big difference, such as:

• Making it easier for everyone to enjoy everyday activities
• Supporting people with a disability to speak for themselves and make choices
• Finding new ways to promote accessibility

There are new categories and judging criteria this year. People from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply and nominate.
