Minister Petrusma to announce Sector Development Fund allocation at Hobart Round Table
Minister Jacquie Petrusma will attend the Disability Industry Round Table in Hobart on 14 February to announce details of the Sector Development Fund allocation for Tasmania.
The Sector Development Fund (SDF) was established to assist the disability sector (including people with disability, their families, carers and service providers) to transition to the new arrangements for disability support under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
National Disability Services (NDS) has been working with DHHS to ensure funding is available to continue the implementation of the Tasmanian Disability Workforce Strategy and Action Plan.
The Disability Industry Round Table meets quarterly. This event will attract representatives from disability service organisations and other stakeholders. The agenda focuses on workforce planning and development for the sector.
